Choosing and implementing an appropriate
technology to support your eLearning strategy is perhaps the most daunting
task you have encountered. The number of eLearning technologies on the
market today is staggering - and many of them tout the exact same virtues.
Yet, we know from experience that products - and vendors - are VERY
different. We offer a number of specific services designed to help you make
the right technology choices.
Requirements Definition
The most important task to complete successfully when deciding on an
eLearning technology is to define technical requirements. We guide you
through this difficult process in a systematic and strategic manner. We
employ a method of use case definition in order to uncover true
requirements. We also help you define the applicable eLearning standards
(AICC, IMS, SCORM, etc.) to which you need to adhere, if any.
Package Selection
Once we understand your requirements, we take an in-depth look at the
products on the market. We analyze the gaps between the applicable Learning
Management Systems (LMS) and your specific requirements, use cases and
standards. We rank the products according to your objective criteria and
recommend a solution for implementation. We also provide you with
suggestions and recommendations for filling the gaps, such as integrating
with other products or customizations to the original package. In turn, we
develop a project plan, timeline and budget for implementing the chosen
solution.
Implementation and Integration
After selecting a technology package, we can help you implement the
solution. We begin by developing a full specification that describes how the
final solution (base package + customizations and integrations) will meet
each of your requirements. We then set up a pilot so that you can take a
real test drive of the Learning Management System. We have found that
requirements sometimes change once you have gotten your feet wet! We
continue the revision process until the system meets your specifications. Of
course, we also provide the quality assurance results and support
documentation for the final product.
Custom Development
In some cases, we have found that packaged solutions simply will not meet
the needs for our clients. If this happens, we can certainly develop a
custom Learning Management System. This may involve combined best-of-breed
applications from several vendors or developing the system from scratch.
